SAN DIEGO, CA | January 23, 2023 11:59 AM Eastern Standard Time
Power Digital, the leading growth marketing firm that ignites revenue and brand recognition for companies around the world, has been named one of the Ad Age Best Places to Work 2023. It is an annual ranking of companies that lead the pack in factors like pay and benefits, work/life balance, recruitment and training and development.
The list honors 50 companies that did a standout job over the past year as the ad business was met with the challenges of a weakening economy, changing media market and a continued tight talent pool. The winners, which reflect those with the highest overall numerical scores based on an analysis of questionnaires submitted by employers and survey responses from their employees, were announced in Ad Age’s Best Places to Work print issue (published Jan. 23) and online at AdAge.com.
Power Digital’s people strategy in 2022 was a combination of recognizing a job well done through generous bonus and commission programs and promotions that could be earned any time throughout the year, and a training program that sets the path for career development in every role.
The company offers unlimited paid time off and provides monthly recharge days on months that don’t include federal holidays. Power Digital is remote-first with flexible setups to work hybrid, in-person or fully remote to ensure a balanced work life. Additionally, its DEI program focuses on the development and empowerment of an overall more inclusive workforce and client portfolio encompassing backgrounds of gender, nationality, age, religion, education and more.
“Culture and team happiness drives growth and client outcomes. Our clients experience a 2.4x higher revenue growth rate in the first six months of engagement compared to industry averages because of our people’s mindset to always be learning, growing and going above and beyond,” said Jeff Mason, President of Power Digital.
In 2022, Power Digital conducted over 160 promotions and held over 400 training sessions to make sure that their people reached their full potential. As a result, it experienced a 95% team retention rate last year.
The company uses multiple frameworks to encourage a continuous growth mindset. One of the exercises, called The Vital 5, helps set annual goals across personal development, earnings, role and career, and outlines the support individuals need from the company and management to hit their goals.
“The tight labor market forced every business in the industry to compete for talent, and the 2023 Best Places to Work winners proved the value of understanding what employees want today,” said Dan Peres, president and editor-in-chief of Ad Age. “Companies will face challenges this year with the economy and ongoing effects of the pandemic, but winning workplaces understand that taking care of employees is central to business success.”
Ad Age produced Best Places to Work 2023 in partnership with Best Companies Group, a research firm specializing in identifying and recognizing great places to work. The competition was open to agencies, ad tech firms, brand or corporate marketing departments or groups and in-house agencies of marketers.
